Halloween Treat! – Your Beyond Basic Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Want a treat that keeps you on track with your health and well being goals?

Here’s a little something I whipped up. It’s gut healing and easily adaptable to whatever you’re feeling or your following by way of food choices.

Here’s the basic framework:

Add the following ingredients into a blender:
8 oz. Coffee (or strong black tea if AIP)
1/4 cup Milk of choice (I use 365 canned regular coconut milk, it’s got more of a cream consistency)
1 scoop Collagen powder (add 2 scoops if looking for higher protein)
1 Tablespoon of pumpkin puree (canned pumpkin is fine just make sure it’s not pumpkin pie filling…eeeech)
1 generous dash of cinnamon
1 smaller dash of ginger
1 small pinch of nutmeg (or Mace if AIP)
1 super small pinch of clove… I basically just open the clove spice gently over the blender for a bit of it’s essence… you can’t unring that bell.

If you must add something to sweeten, I suggest stevia or a little maple syrup.

Cover carefully, hold the lid on with a towel in place preferably as the contents are hot. Blend together until combined and frothy.

Pour into your favorite Halloween mug.
